Spiritual Life at Hope

One of Chicago Hope’s main goals is the spiritual formation of every student.  Our teachers and staff make an intentional effort to incorporate their faith into every aspect of their teaching, coaching, and interaction with students.  Our teachers pray for their students on a regular basis and all desire to see the students grow spiritually as well as academically and physically.  Daily Discipleship Groups and weekly Chapel gatherings enhance each student’s spiritual formation.

– Discipleship Groups (DG’s): Daily discussions where students talk about struggles and try to find solutions to problems as well as ways to celebrate successes, using the Bible as a guide for their lives.  Here, students  connect with one of their teachers in a more informal way and have a great opportunity to grow in their spiritual lives.

– Chapel: Weekly all school gatherings filled with music, Scripture, and inspirational speakers to reiterate what was talked about during DG’ discussions. Here students and teachers engage in worship in innovative and relevant ways to further enhance their spiritual growth. Chapel is open to the public and meets from 2:30-3:30 PM every Friday.
